Constance Pikkarainen, 82

Lived in Westminster for many years

 

WESTMINSTER - Constance (Neithercut) Pikkarainen, 82, of 21 Elliott St., died at HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster, after an illness.

    

She was born in Fitchburg on Sept. 13, 1924, the daughter of the late Thomas G. and Cecilia (McNamara) Neithercut. She was a 1942 graduate of St. Bernard's Central Catholic High School, and had lived in Westminster for many years.   

 

Mrs. Pikkarainen leaves one son, David Pikkarainen of Westminster; one daughter, Joan Bates of Lancaster; two grandsons, Daniel and Reginald Bates both of Lancaster; and one granddaughter, Alicia of Westminster. She was the wife of the late Daniel Pikkarainen who died April 4, 2001. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Shirley Neithercut who died Jan. 1, 2002 and C. Veronica Blackwell who died May 16, 1996.

 

The funeral will be held Monday, April 30, at 10 a.m. in the Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, (www.masciarellifamilyfuneralhomes.net), 123 Main St., Westminster, MA 01473. Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery, 9 Narrows Road, Westminster. A calling hour will be held Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home, prior to the funeral.
