Westminster Calls from Nov. 21 through Nov. 27

Monday, Nov. 21 8:12 a.m. State Road East — Officer on detail came across a driver that he knew to be unlicensed from an earlier stop. Officer has the driver park the car off the side of the road, while the driver goes to find a licensed operator to drive the vehicle. 2:24 p.m. Oakmont Avenue — A report of gas in a home at Oakmont Avenue. Officer investigates the scene. Officer reports a significant amount of gas in the building. Stays on the scene venting. House is vented and officer clears the scene. 2:51 p.m. Shady Avenue — Female party calls to report two dogs with quills in them in the area.

Tuesday, Nov. 22 11:16 a.m. South Ashburnham Road — Structure fire at saw mill. Mutual aid from Rutland, Barre, Ashburnham Fitchburg, Gardner. Winchendon. Fire knocked down at 1:04 p.m. 1:40 p.m. Bacon Street — Caller reports that someone has been giving her number to restaurants when ordering food and now she is receiving harassing phone calls from the restaurants. 3:04 p.m. East Road — Male party reports that his landlord is refusing to allow him into his apartment to get his belongings. Both parties are spoken to and both advise that they are trying to work out the problem. If they need the police again they will call.

Wednesday, Nov. 23 4:35 p.m. Woodland Drive — Caller reports that someone just shot a “BB” through their window. Officers respond to the scene. Officer reports that the window is broken and a report is taken. 5:55 p.m. Needham Road — Caller reports that they are having a dog problem at his residence. A dog from their neighbor’s house is in their yard. Officer speaks to both homeowners. The dog owner says he is doing his best to get the dog back in the house.

Thursday, Nov. 24 1:56 a.m. Ridge Street — Received a 9-1-1 hang up calls from a home on Ridge Street. On call back, a male party requests an officer come to the scene for a domestic disturbance in progress. He says his girlfriend just attacked him. In the background, a woman can be heard screaming for help. Officers respond to the scene. Officers determine it was a verbal argument. Both parties sign waivers and have been advised to seek legal counsel.

Friday, Nov. 25 8:41 a.m. Simplex Drive — Security personnel from Simplex report there has been a Pontiac Grand Am parked in their lot for about three weeks. Plate has been removed from the vehicle. Owner is identified as a Simplex employee. 4:29 p.m. State Road East — Motor vehicle stop leads to an arrest. Thomas LeClair, 36, arrested on an outstanding warrant. Friend is coming to pick up vehicle and female passenger.

Saturday, Nov. 26 3:09 p.m. Bragg Hill Road — Calls comes in for a two-car motor vehicle accident. No injuries reported. Hazardous road conditions reported. 7:08 p.m. Knower Road — Male party calls and would like a welfare check done on his mother. He has been trying to get a hold of her and her phone line has been busy all day. Officer responds to the home and reports that everything is fine. 9:18 p.m. Main Street — Report of a car doing donuts in the parking lot of Vincent’s Country Store. Party is spoken to and asked to leave.

Sunday, Nov. 27 3:01 p.m. Wyman Pond — Caller reports that there is a child in a boat in the middle of the pond and he does not appear to have any oars. He appears that he might be stuck. Officer responds to the scene and reports that the party in the boat lives on Old Oak Avenue and is nearly to shore. Once on land the party was told to stay off the pond.
