Students selected for Boston Symphony Orchestra Summer Arts Program

Five JR Briggs Elementary students will have the privilege of attending an exclusive week-long summer arts camp, Days in the Arts (DARTS), being held in July by The Boston Symphony Orchestra, at Tanglewood in the Berkshire mountains of western Massachusetts.

Fifth-graders Amanda Gagne, Philip Shedd, Kaylee Nonni, Christopher Holloway and Rebecca D'Amico were selected for the DARTS summer camp based on their exemplary musical or artistic talent and their dedication to the arts at JR Briggs.

For the third year, Briggs has been granted slots at the summer camp, which is by invitation only to fifth-graders. The camp features arts-based seminars, activities, field trips, and concerts, and will immerse kids in music, visual art, theater, and dance. Congratulations to the students that were selected to attend DARTS, and we wish them all the best for their trip.
