Raili M. Aho, 77

ASHBURNHAM - Raili M. Aho, 77, of Lakeshore Drive, and Oak Ridge Circle, Lantana Fla., died Monday July 17, 2006 at Heywood Memorial Hospital, Gardner, after being stricken with a heart attack at her residence.

Born in Ashby on Dec. 12, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Matti and Maria (Toivonen) Honkala. She had lived summers in Ashby for the past 15 years and for many years, winters in Lantana, Fla.

Mrs. Aho and her husband, William M. Aho, of Ashburnham recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June of 2006.

Besides her husband, she is survived by five sons, Daniel T. Aho, Douglas D. Aho, and James W. Aho, all of Rindge, N.H. and Raymond M. Aho and Mark A. Aho, both of New Ipswich, N.H.; four daughters, Patricia M. Aho of Menahga, Minn., Faythe R. Kantola of New Ipswich, N.H., Peggy J. Aho of Frazze, MN and Judith K. Aho of Tapiola, MI; 62 grandchildren; and 96 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Rauni Honkala and Edwin Honkala, both of Ashby and Donald Honkala, of Unionville, N.C.; two sisters, Ellie Gove and Helmi Linus, both of Ashby; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Leo Honkala, and two sisters, Edith Somero and Elsie Piespenen.
