WESTMINSTER Selected Calls July 24 through July 27

Monday, July 24 8:21 a.m. Ellis Road - Resident calls with speed complaint for Barry and Sons truck on Ellis Road. 8:39 a.m. Woodland Drive - Resident reports she had her purse stolen in Leominster and it had her ID and garage door opener in it and she requests extra patrols. 3:31 p.m. Grassy Pond Road - Resident called reporting there are kids going door to door trick-or-treating. Officer in area but kids are gone on arrival. 6:53 p.m. Fitchburg Road/Route 31 - Department of Conservation and Recreation employee called requesting officer to Leominster State Forest to assist with people that are refusing to leave park area. Parties left park prior to officers arrival. 8:45 p.m. Needham Road - Received several calls reporting loud explosion in area of 5 Needham Road. Officer checked area, explosion may have been caused by a resident, who was trying to light a camp fire, nothing else found. 9:19 p.m. Fitchburg Road - Received 911 call patched through by state police reporting motor vehicle rollover on Route 31, appears no injuries. Officer reports accident near landfill entrance and request tow. Operator being transported back to station by ambulance until parent arrives to fill out refusal. 10:02 p.m. South Street - Business owner into station to speak with officer regarding issue with recently fired employee. 10:44 p.m. Willard Road - Resident called reporting a female came to his house yesterday stating she was from the RTI (Research Triangle Institute) and she was doing a drug survey. He was wondering if she was from a valid research company.

Tuesday, July 25 12:38 a.m. Village Inn Road -Clerk from front desk at Wachusett Village Inn reporting harassing phone calls. Officer will investigate further. 1:05 a.m. Lake Drive East - 911 call reporting husband abusing wife. Parties claim verbal only form signed. 3:41 p.m. East Road - Two calls reporting a motor vehicle rollover. ALS requested F&M towing already on scene. Person still trapped in vehicle. 4:07 p.m. Patient extricated. 9:34 p.m. Leominster Street - Resident reports that his house had been broken into sometime today. He is going to bring a list of missing items to the station tomorrow. 9:45 p.m. Minott Road - Resident called to report the house across the street has been broken into, back door has been broken and copper pipe is missing - also a saw.

Wednesday, July 26 12:03 a.m. Edro Isle Road - Report of a bunch of kids in the middle of the road. Officer asked parties to move on.

Thursday, July 27 5:51 a.m. State Road East - Fitchburg Police request Route 2A be shutdown at Monty-Tech for car accident. 7:42 a.m. South Ashburnham Road - Caller reports motor vehicle accident on South Ash, no injuries at this time but is requesting police assistance. Drive cited for failure to obey road markings, written warning failure to care while passing and failure to car while stopping. 7:53 a.m. Main Street -Report of smoking motor vehicle and there is fluid spill. Spill has been picked up and fire department cleared. 9:03 a.m. Bartherick Road - Officer reports from Bartherick Road that party reported putting out fire by railroad tracks. Nothing found. 10:37 a.m. South Street -Party into station with son to report son broke and entered into a Leominster Street house last week with another party. Office investigating. Second party also came in with mother to make statements. 7:52 p.m. West Main Street - Gardner Police reporting three motorcycles operating erratically on Route 140 heading south. Officer checked area - gone on arrival.
