School registration information and dates

Overlook Middle School will be registering new students who reside in Ashburnham or Westminster entering grades 6, 7, and 8 on Aug. 22, 23 and 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please call (978) 827-1422 to set up an appointment to register your child.

North Central Charter Essential School (NCCES) will hold lotteries on Monday, Aug. 7, and Monday, Aug. 21, to fill remaining openings for the 2006-2007 school year. The school will accept applications from students who will be entering grades seven through ten in September 2006.

Applications are available at the school, which is located at 1 Oak Hill Road in Fitchburg or on the school's Web site at www.ncces.org. You may also call the school to receive an application and brochure by mail. Applications must be postmarked by Aug. 4 or received at the school by 9 a.m. on Aug. 7 to be included in the first August lottery. Any applications received after that date and before 9 a.m. on Aug. 21 will be included in the next lottery. A few openings are immediately available for students entering seventh grade.

Applewild School in Fitchburg, will be hosting an Admissions Open House Camp on Friday, Aug. 4, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Marshall Lower School Building, 98 Prospect Street.

Applewild provides outstanding preparation for girls and boys, grades K through 9 with an average class size of 15 students. Serving almost 50 communities in Massachusetts and New Hampshire transportation is available from a variety of towns. Full and half day Kindergarten options are available.
