(l-r, 1st row) Lou Mortelle; (2nd) Rene Cote, Dominic Alessandrini and Cindy Camosse. (3rd) Doug Cudmore, Dean Carlson, Abby Cirinoni and .Rose Marie Bissonnette.
On Saturday Aug. 5, the Central Mass. Limb Loss support group met at Rene and Louise Cotes' home, in Westminster, for their annual cookout.

Amputees, spouses and guests all attended. Members came from all areas of Massachusetts including Walpole, Bellingham, Oxford, Clinton, Lancaster, Leominster, and Ashby.

The members enjoyed a day of good food; the barbecue master for the day was the groups' Vice-President Dean Carlson. Members also brought their favorite side dishes to share with everyone. Members and guests had an afternoon of entertainment, which included a very funny skit on Lucille Ball performed by Dean Carlson. In addition, they enjoyed Amanda Cote's super singing performance and guitar playing.

The annual cookout is a day of camaraderie and fun for all amputees.

The groups' mission is to reach out to people with limb loss and provide a

supportive environment where information

and experiences are shared and friendships are formed. Regular monthly meetings are on the second Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. at Clinton Hospital, 201 Highland St., Clinton.
