Suspect arrested in Malden/trooper incident Townsend Police arrested resident Jonathan Bik, 26, because of his alleged involvement in an accident where he dragged a state trooper a short distance with his vehicle. Police worked with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, State Police and Malden Police to arrest the resident of 333 Main St., on Thursday, Aug. 11. Bik has warrants pending against him for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, leaving a scene of property damage accident, operating with a suspended license. All of the charges are in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred in Malden on Aug. 6. A state police trooper was dragged a short distance by a vehicle that was allegedly being operated by Bik after Bik was being questioned regarding an accident in which he was involved, according. Police secured the perimeter of the house before entering because of Bik's lengthy criminal history, according to Townsend police.
