John J. Martin, 87

WESTMINSTER - John J. Martin, 87, of 14 Rosewood Drive, Gardner, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, at the Henry Heywood Hospital after an illness.

He was the husband of 53 years to the late Dora (Roy) Martin who died Sept. 13, 2003. He was born in Chatham Head, New Brunswick, Canada on Feb. 12, 1919, a son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Vautour) Martin.

He leaves one daughter and son-in-law Anna (Martin) and Gil Richard of Westminster, tow sons and daughters-in-law, Gerry and Ellen Martin of Worcester, and Paul and Sandra of Northridge, California, eight grandchildren, Amy and Mark Richard of Westminster, Nathan, Eric and Elizabeth Martin of Worcester, Christopher and Lindsey Martin of Washington, and Brittany Vodery of California, brothers and sisters from three families, Christine and Rosana Martin, Ben, Hazel, Holden, Allan, Susan and Marie DesRoches, Celia, Leona, Jeannette, and Edmund Malley all of New Brunswick, Canada and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by Alice and Susie, Abel and Fidel Martin, Leonard, Henry, and George DesRoches, and Archie and Leo Malley.
