The Ashburnham Fire Department held an auto extrication training module, Saturday, Aug. 26, at Toy Town Auto Salvage, in Winchendon. Volunteer firefighter Mike Salem learns hands-on how to strip the roof off a car in order to access the occupants. Other Emergency Medical Services (EMS) training that day included the use of Hurst tool equipment, the reciprocating saw and the air chisel.
