PEOPLE & EVENTS Enjoy an Old New England atmosphere at St. John's Annual Bazaar held on scenic Townsend Common. Mingle among friendly people, hunt for a bargain, compete in all the games and raffles, shop at the farmer's market for homegrown flowers and produce, all while enjoying good food and music. Townsend Common is at the intersection of Route 119 and 13. Have a good old-fashioned time with us from 10 a.m. 4 p.m. The family of Bob LeBlanc, of West Townsend, will host the second annual Robert J. Leblanc Memorial Golf Tournament at Townsend Ridge Country Club. Registration begins at noon, followed by a Shotgun Start at 1 p.m. and a buffet served at 6 p.m. Proceeds to benefit the American Lung Association Lung Cancer Discovery Award Grant. Other First Church of Templeton, located on the Common, will hold a Flea Market and Artisan's Expo from 9 a.m. 2 p.m. The event will feature a variety of flea markets and vendor tables, attic treasures, an Artisan's Expo highlighting the talent of local artists, and food galore. Spaces are still available at $15 each for vendors of flea market, craft and business Items, and all local artists and artisans who wish to share their talents are welcome to do so at no charge. The 9th Annual Wachusett Music Festival will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9 and Sunday, Sept. 10, at Wachusett Mountain Ski Area, 499 Mountain Road, Princeton. The MusicFest, on Saturday, will feature THE FOOLS, Clutch Grabwell, and The Howl. Admission is: for adults $5 (online) or $10 at the door; children ages 6-12 $5; children ages 5 and under free. SUNDAY - SEPTEMBER 10 Ashburnham The Historical Piano Concert Series, from the Frederick Piano Collection, will be performed at 4 p.m. at the Ashburnham Community Church, Main Street (Route 12). The Trio Bella will perform - Heather and Rebecca Fetrow, sopranos and Barbara Fetrow Suhrstedt, piano. Townsend "Useful Plants; Edibles and Medicinals; Facts and Folklore" will be presented by herbalist Joanie MacPhee of Townsend at 10 a.m. Explore part of Townsend State Forest off of South Row Road in Townsend. Participants should meet at the Hannaford Supermarket parking lot on Route 119 across from North Middlesex Regional High School to carpool to the site. MONDAY - SEPTEMBER 11 Ashburnham The Ashburnham Council on Aging will sponsor their monthly Holiday Party - celebrating Labor Day - at noon, at 1 Memorial Drive. The meal will consist of Yankee pot roast, mashed potatoes, summer squash and mandarin oranges. A donation of $2 is requested. There will be door prizes. All seniors are invited.
