Nashoba Valley offers adult education

Nashoba Valley Technical High School is offering its Nashoba at Night adult continuing education program this fall.

Courses will be offered in the following categories:

Career and Certification: Plumbing 1, Introduction to Electronics, Marketing for Wedding Professionals and Electrical Code.

Arts and Crafts: Floral Arranging, Oil Painting, Quiltmaking, Applique Quilt, and Learn to Knit.

Computer Applications: Intro to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Autodesk Inventor 3D Modeling, Basic AutoCAD, Beginner's Guide to Hyper Text Mark-Up Language and Photoshop 101. In the Kitchen: Great Garnishes, Simple Japanese Cooking, Holiday Candy

Making, Intro to Asian Cooking, Beginner Cake Decorating, Healthy Chinese Cooking and Breads and Rolls.

Home and Trade: Home Improvement, Intro to CNC Machining, Woodworking Techniques, Cabinet and Woodworking and Basic Automotive Service.

Health and Leisure: Volleyball, Introduction to Macrobiotics, Evening Yoga, Basketball, Strength Training, Beginner Pilates, Transitions Lifestyle

System, Japanese Swordsmanship, Ballroom Dance/Swing and How to Get Debt Free.

Special Interest: Suddenly Single, Bartending/Mixology, Wine Basics, Build an Aquatic Paradise in Your Backyard, Publicity, Cashflow 101, Beginning Guitar, Beginning Mandolin, Intermediate Guitar, Digital Camera, Beginning Italian, Continuing Conversational French, Conversational Spanish, Hair Braiding, On the Air, Butterfly Gardening, Putting the Garden to Bed, Avoid Halloween Horrors, Nutrition for the 21st Century and Fly Fishing.

There will also be a financial-aid workshop Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 7 to 9 p.m.

In its winter session, starting in January, Nashoba Tech will offer the College of Cosmetology, through which students will become prepared for the State Board of Cosmetology licensing exam.
