Help Habitat's thermometer rise

(l-r) Michele Cannon, Melanie Ouellette and Jane Morgan check the "Habitat Thermometer" which shows the goal for Townsend's first Habitat house to be built in spring 2007.
Michele Cannon, Melanie Ouellette and Jane Morgan are keeping tabs on the "Habitat Thermometer" which shows the goal for Townsend's first Habitat house to be built in spring 2007.

To help the thermometer go up and up, plan to come Saturday, Sept. 23, 10 a.m. -5 p.m., for Townsend's Habitat for Humanity's Auction and Family Fair, on Townsend Common (corner of Rtes 13 & 119.)

The main event is the auction at 1 p.m., with a live auctioneer under the tent. A few of the great items: antiques, tickets to events and dinners, household

and children's items, a signed Bruin's puck, and a Sam Thorpe signed and numbered print.

Enjoy a full day of auction, fun, and food. The barbeque, baked goods, children's games and moonwalk, crafters, and raffles along with the auction will make this event fun for the whole family.

The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 24. Please call Melanie Ouellette at (978) 597-5527 or e-mail HabitatTownsend@att.net for auction donations and crafter information.
