Vandals cause $10,000 damage to logging trucks On Sept. 11, at approximately 8:15 a.m., Westminster Police responded to the area of Westminster Hill Road, in Fitchburg to take a report of vandalism to three logging vehicles located on land owned by the town of Westminster. Vandals caused approximately $10,000 of damage to the equipment. The vandalism was done on Sunday, Sept. 10, between 2 and 7 p.m. The owner of the logging equipment, Monadnock Land Clearing and Chipping Inc. of Greenville, N.H. is conducting tree clearing for the Westminster Conservation Committee to improve the land. Vandal(s) also spray painted a message on the trees stating "Go Away Save the Trees." Evidence was collected at the scene. The case is under investigation.
