Cross Country teams struggle in races

The Overlook Girls and Boys Cross Country Teams struggled against Quabbin on a rainy and muddy Thursday, Sept. 14.

The girls' team ran a strong race with

Jennifer Burke, showing much improvement, passing four girls in the last 100 yards to finish a strong fourth place. Colleen Mulligan and Krysta Zbikowski also ran strong races finishing in the top 10.

Also running much improved times for the girls were Mary Regan, Lauren Ouellette, Kerry Kupincinskas, Sadie Zbikowski, Hayley Barry, Allison Durkin, Meghan Horgan and Sarah Brady.

The boys' team suffered many injuries as they raced hard against Quabbin.

Quabbin prevailed by taking the Overlook runners on the last hill in what was anyone's race up until then. Ethan Beauregard again ran an outstanding time and again finished first, Christian Robichaud was close behind running a very strong race.

Also finishing in the top 10 were

Derek Andrews and Eric Ouellette.

Running their best times this season were David Leblanc, Eric Fagnant, Derek Wegener, Robin Murray, Justin McGeeney, Trevor Gammel, James McGeeney, Kevin Murphy, Jarrod Beauvais, Pat O'Connell, Justin Capone, Taylor Brau and Elan Jackson.
