Fill-the-Boot to be held this weekend

Firefighters will participate in the annual Fill-the-Boot fund-raiser on Saturday, Sept. 23, to help benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The firefighters will be at various intersections in town with their boots in hand so that motorists may make a donation to help firefighters in their support of MDA.

Last year, Westminster firefighters raised $2,937 for area children and adults living with neuromuscular disorders.

MDA helps children and adults who are affected by any of 43 neuromuscular diseases covered by MDA's comprehensive medical services and research programs. MDA receives no government funding and charges no fees to those served by the Association.
