Haunted House volunteer participants needed. Organizers are looking for volunteers for scenes as well as tour guides. Good way to work off social service hours! The Haunted House will be held by Townsend Recreation on Friday and Saturday evening, Oct. 20 and Oct. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Townsend Congregational Church. Set up and rehearsals will be Monday through Thursday during that week.

Organizers are looking for a couple nonprofit groups to seek donations of candy for the Trunk or Treat (trick or treating from trunk to trunk) area. Your group will run the area and will make the profit. If no groups come forward, trunk or treat will not be held. Contact

clem6six@verizon.net or call Karen Clement (978) 597-5914.

The first Townsend Recreation Dance for Hawthorne Brook 7th and 8th graders will be held in the Hawthorne Brook cafeteria on Friday, Oct. 13, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. Music by a D.J. Adm. $5.

Refreshments will be for sale. Chaperones needed. Call Karen Clement (978) 597-5914.
