Saturday, Oct. 7 Daniel J. Gagne, 18 34 S. Main St., Ashburnham Warrant arrests ASHBY Week of Oct. 1 through Oct. 7, 2006 WESTMINSTER Week of Oct. 3 to Oct. 9 Tuesday, Oct. 3 8:12 a.m. Depot Road - Officer stops a loaded tractor trailer truck crossing the bridge coming off Route 2. He reports the same incident occurred yesterday and advised if it happens again a citation will be issued. 8:24 a.m. Elliott Street - Highway Department called into report that a Fed Ex driver is all over the road, stated the truck is now making a delivery at the first house on the street. Officers checked the area and spoke to driver who stated he was swerving a bit because he was not familiar with the area and trying to find a house. 8:48 a.m. Depot Road - Officer back out with vehicle from earlier stop. Citation was issued for overweight load. 10:08 a.m. West Main Street - Officer conducting traffic enforcement. 10:50 a.m. Oakmont Ave. - Female party in the lobby requesting to speak with an officer about a stolen antique water pump silver in color. Female part calling back to say that the missing items have been relocated. 11:50 a.m. Route 2 West Bound - Female party in the lobby to report that over the past six months she has seen an older male driving a white SUV with Fl. plates three times. The male will drive in the slow lane of Route 2 from the Kmart exit in Fitchburg to exit 24 in town acting very weird carrying a bunch of Mardi Gras beads out the window. 10:41 p.m. Depot Road - Caller reporting he heard a loud bang at his residence, believes someone just tired to break in through the basement, then took off. Officers check area and neighbor's house with nothing found. Wednesday, Oct. 4 7:44 a.m. Simplex Drive - MassHighway Department at the corner of Simplex and West Main reporting a B&E occurred overnight. Would like to see an officer to report. Officer reports two light bars taken off state DPW trucks. 9:58 a.m. Wilson Drive -Homeowner called to report missing knife. Sounded disorientated. 12:59 p.m. Dean Hill Road - Resident calls in regards to a sick raccoon in the roadway in front of his house. Reporting party called back stating raccoon is now gone to cancel cruiser. 1:33 p.m. Ellis Road - Caller reports harassing phone calls at his work. 3:39 p.m. Ashburnham State Road - Fitchburg Fire Department request one engine to central station for coverage they have a working fire on Ashburnham State Road. Fitchburg fire requests police to shut down road on Route 12, and request for manpower. 5:43 p.m. Ridge Road - Caller reports kids riding dirt bike up and down road. Area checked nothing found. Thursday, Oct. 5 9:54 a.m. Narrows Road - Female resident calling to report she received two UK lottery international scam letters this week and would like to have an officer contact her regarding issue. 11:08 a.m. West Main Street -Male party calling into report that his vehicle's tire just shredded under the bridge of Route 2 and would like an officer to come to his location and also to have a tow come. 12:06 p.m. Wyman Road/Village Inn Road - Officer reporting two vehicles parked at intersection conducting some type of surveying. 1:39 p.m. Merriam Road - Female party calling to report that their were 20 pumpkins and 2.5 barrels of gords stolen from D&D Farm Stand. 9:31 p.m. West Princeton Road - Female caller reports she almost hit a man dressed in dark clothing walking up the road headed towards Davis Road. Male did not get out of the way but stayed in the middle of road and continued walking. Area checked nothing found. Saturday, Oct. 7 2:36 a.m. Gatehouse Road -Several phone calls reporting a car in the water by Route 140 and Gatehouse. Motor vehicle is submerged. No one in vehicle. Registered owner called station he is at his house and states no one in car and no one is injured. 1:42 p.m. Route 2 - Report of a motorcycle that has flipped on Route 2 westbound at depot Road exit. State police will investigate. 9:18 p.m. State Road West - Gardner police report an erratic operator on Route 2A heading east. Officer unable to locate vehicle. Sunday, Oct. 8 12:18 a.m. Westminster Hill Road -Officer responding to assist Fitchburg with motor vehicle accident. 1:00 p.m. Davis Road - Caller reports she believes someone may be outside her residence near a/c unit or could be the wind. Officer cleared scene with nothing found.
Monday, Oct. 9 9:20 a.m. Main Street - Caller reports pumpkins that were at Congregational Church pre-school have been smashed in the church parking lot. states she did not hear or see anything during the night. |
