Council on Aging offers wide-variety of fall activities

 Come join us for Line Dancing Classes on Mondays at 10 a.m. Learn at your own pace. Feel free to either watch or participate. Designed to help beginners or returning line dancers. Lots of breaks and water. No charge for Ashburnham residents. For reservations call (978) 827-5000.

 Ashburnham seniors are joining together attend the matinee performance of "A Broadway Christmas" at Theater at the Mount on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. Transportation is available. Please call the Council on Aging as soon as possible. Discounts are available for early callers - (978) 827-5000.

 The Forever Young Club is sponsoring a trip to the East Hill Farm, Troy, N.H. (Yankee Doodle Day) on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at noon. Cost is $23, which includes tax, tip and a "Yankee Swap" provided by the East Hill Farm. Menu is New England Pot Roast and Seafood Newburg (served family style).  The COA is hosting a Pumpkin-A-Plenty Party on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 12:45 p.m. at 1 Memorial Drive. Come join us for pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, pumpkin coffeecake, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cake and ice cream. Donation $1. For those who would like lunch before at noon, the menu is herb roasted chicken, cranberry sauce, sweet potato and brussel sprouts. Donation $2. Rides available.  Ashburnham seniors and friends are invited to a Halloween Party on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at noon. Costumes would be nice but optional. Prizes will be awarded for best costume. The meal will consist of baked ham, scalloped potatoes, and winter squash. Donation of $2 is requested. Van transportation is available. For reservations call (978) 827-5000.
