Glenny starts second year in Winchendon law firm
Glenny complements LaFortune's 40- plus years in the fields of real estate for buyers, sellers and lenders and wills & trusts, with his focus on civil litigation, personal injury, divorce, family law, real estate and employment law. Glenny previous worked as was an associate at the law firm of Ball & Sargent, P.C. in Worcester, specializing in civil litigation. Glenny is a member of the Ashburnham- Westminster Regional School Committee. His community involvement has also included being a member of the Ashburnham Advisory Board. He is an Oakmont Youth Soccer and Ashburnham Area Basketball League coach. Glenny has a wide range of professional experience because beyond his job as a lawyer he has served as an adjunct professor of history and political science at Fitchburg State College. He has also served as a police officer at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, as a both a reserve police officer and as a firefighter/EMT in Lunenburg and as an EMT in Fitchburg. Glenny earned an associate's degrees from Mount Wachusett Community College in criminal justice, a bachelor's degree form Fitchburg State College in history and with a minor in political science; and received his Juris Doctor from Western New England College School of Law in 1994. He is also a Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Council Police Academy graduate. He was the 2002 recipient of the Family Law Award from the Massachusetts Justice Project and recipient of the 2002 Alumni Leadership Award from Fitchburg State College. LaFortune, a Winchedon resident, has worked in the region during real estate closings since 1964. LaFortune also capably facilitates title insurance issues and is a title agent, as well as an expert in estate planning and settlement. The law firm is located at 1 Summer Drive in Winchendon.
