Haunted happenings fall into region

Haunted House to be held in Townsend

A Haunted House, hosted by the Townsend Recreation Department, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, and Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Townsend Congregational Church, on the common. Admission is $3; $2 if you bring a canned good for the Townsend Ecumenical Outreach (TEO). The first 150 children (ages 13 and under) will receive a gift card for a kiddie cup/cone of ice cream from the Brick Steamer, to be used in the Spring. Spooky times at Terror in the Woods

The annual haunted trail, with this year's theme being

Terror in the Woods", will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, and Saturday, Oct. 21, at Barrett Park, Leominster. Cost is $5 per person. For information, call 978) 534-7529.

Does your pumpkin have personality?

Davis' Farmland celebrates Halloween

Mystery theatre to perform ghostly show

Townsend to hold Halloween parade; festivities

Townsend will hold its second annual Halloween Parade from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, on the common. The festivities begin with games, face painting, decorating pumpkins, prizes for best costumes, and treats for all children who attend in costume. The parade will begin at 3 p.m. This event is for children ages pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade. Rain location will be at Michelle Goodwin's School of Dance. Leominster to celebrate Halloween in style!

Join other ghosts and goblins for a Halloween festival with tricks, treats, a parade and more on Sunday, Oct. 29. Dress in your favorite costume as you parade from Leominster City Hall to Carter Park, where there will be a variety of festivities for the children. This is a traditionally safe way to celebrate the day. Children and adults should meet at City Hall parking lot at 1:30 p.m. The parade will begin at 2 p.m. For information, call the Leominster Recreation Department, at (978) 534-7529.

Ashburnham seniors to celebrate Halloween

Ashburnham seniors and friends are invited to a Halloween Party at noon, Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Ashburnham Council on Aging, One Memorial Drive. Costumes are optional and prizes will be awarded for the best costume. The meal will consist of baked ham, scalloped potatoes and winter squash. Donation is $2. Van transportation is available.
