Trustees announce 06-07 scholarship awards

The Ashby Free Public library was founded over 100 years ago as an institution committed to the informational and educational needs of the citizens of Ashby.

Over the years, the AFPL Board of Trustees has been entrusted with the administration of several scholarship trusts to further this goal. The trustees are pleased to announce the scholarship award winners for the 2006-2007 school year.

The recipient of the Ashby Alumni Scholarship is Kevin McMurray, a student at University of Rhode Island.

The Recipient of the Ruth Brooks Memorial Scholarship is Jason Carmichael, attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

The Marston Scholarship is awarded to Danielle Mosher, a student at University of Richmond.

The Todd Wright Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to Nicole Howell, a student at Qunisigamond College.

The following student will receive scholarships from the Lyman-Brooks Memorial Scholarship Fund:

Bradley Airey, Jonathan Airey, Elizabeth Boudreau, Cory Bussell, Adam Carmichael, Richard Caron, Laura Cline, Emily Damon, Alexander Finn, Megan Fitzpatrick, Tracey Fitzpatrick, Erika Flahive, April Jordan, Tyler Jordan, Michelle Kincaid, Scott Lehtinen, Michael Lemay, Allison Lynch, Shane Malone, Erin McIntyre, Kevin McIntyre, Kelley McMurray, Rachel Mikola, Alanna Mulford, Meagan Mulford, Adam Nash, Samantha Olkkola, Cristina Stanwood, Kate Sumner, Emily Sumner, Adam Svedberg and Kara Tansey.

Scholarships will be awarded in January. Proof of attendance is required to receive the scholarship and should be sent to the address listed on the application form and award letter.
