Haunted happenings fall into region Townsend to hold Halloween parade; festivities Townsend will hold its second annual Halloween Parade from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, on the common. The festivities begin with games, face painting, decorating pumpkins, prizes for best costumes, and treats for all children who attend in costume. The parade will begin at 3 p.m. This event is for children ages pre-kindergarten through fifthgrade. Rain location will be at Michelle Goodwin's School of Dance. Halloween parade to be held at Davis' Farmland Paint a pumpkin, go on a witch-hunt, and wear your Halloween costume for a parade through the animal showcase from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, and Sunday, Oct. 29, at Davis Farmland, 145 Redstone Hill Road, Sterling. Join other ghosts and goblins for a Halloween festival with tricks, treats, a parade and more on Sunday, Oct. 29. Dress in your favorite costume as you parade from Leominster City Hall to Carter Park, where there will be a variety of festivities for the children. This is a traditionally safe way to celebrate the day. Children and adults should meet at City Hall parking lot at 1:30 p.m. The parade will begin at 2 p.m. For information, call the Leominster Recreation Department, at (978) 534-7529. Ashburnham seniors to celebrate Halloween Ashburnham seniors and friends are invited to a Halloween Party at noon, Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Ashburnham Council on Aging, One Memorial Drive. Costumes are optional and prizes will be awarded for the best costume. The meal will consist of baked ham, scalloped potatoes and winter squash. Donation is $2. Van transportation is available.
