PAT (Pepperell-Ashby-Townsend) hockey update
(Week #7) Oct. 16-22

Mite 1 (Dual State) PAT 6 Manchester 0

Another win for the Mites! With Cam Johnson, Stefan Travis and Ryan Leedham playing offense, Johnson scored two goals, Travis scored a goal and got an assist, while Leedham also contributed to the win with the assistance of Zach Bingham. Cody Allard scored with the assistance of David Hurley. Brian Walter also scored big skating through and around five opponents for an unassisted goal. The opponents were quick on their feet and there was a lot of action in front of the Mites' net but, with Richie Sharp between the poles the opponents were sent home with nothing to show for their hard work.

Mite 2 (Gardner League) PAT 0 Ash-West 5

This is a Mite team that just doesn't give up. Each week they are looking stronger and improving in all skill areas. Hunter Newsham, Rowan Halloran and Joey Sheridan skated like lightning. The game was a thrilling offensive show with PAT's McKayla Briggs, Matthew McCarthy, and Kelty Delaney just missing on several chances. Ash-West's goalie "Brianna" was on her game while PAT's goalie Jarrod Dusseault was spectacular in his first time in net. Declan Delaney and Joshua Joy were awesome defenders breaking up Ash-West play after play. Ryan Archibald and Griffin Delaney were passing geniuses getting the whole team involved in the offense.

Players of the Week: Offense - Kelty Delaney and Ryan Archibald; Defense - Jarrod Dusseault and Joshua Joy; Hustle - Hunter Newsham and Rowan Halloran

Squirt 1 PAT 7 Hollis 2

The Squirt 1 team came out of the gate with two first period goals and never looked back. PAT's goalkeeper was called on to make some timely saves to keep the lead in tact and that is exactly what Marc Frederick did, stopping multiple breakaways and point blank attempts. Jay Cobleigh buried two third period goals, one on a nifty breakaway. Bailey Delaney was called up to secure the defensive effort and played extremely well breaking up play after play.

SQUIRTS 2 PAT 2 Nashoba 9

PAT worked hard against a tough Nashoba squad. Brandon Donohoe picked up a pretty second period score off a feed by Sam Galeota and Miles Massida. Jake Macmaster and Michael Meehan set up an early third period goal for Justin Packard before Nashoba pulled away with the win.

(Week #8) Oct. 23-29

Mite 1 (Dual State) PAT 14 Nashoba 0

It's another big win for the Mites. PAT made the win in the first period scoring seven goals. The coaches moved the players around giving some offensive players a chance to show their skills on defense, which is where David Hurley scored his first goal of the season. Donnie Frederick scored two goals and had two assists, Brian Walters scored four goals and had two assists, while Cam Johnson, Richie Sharpe, Myranda Robichaud, Zack Bingham, and Jarrett Connor all scored goals.

Players of the Week: Offense - David Hurley; Defense - Brian Walter; Hustle - Donnie Frederick

Mite 2 (Gardner League) PAT 1 Gardner Blue: 10

The boys and girls skated another fine game Sunday. Hunter Newsham and Jake Robbins worked well defense to greatly help out Griffin Delaney who played a solid game in net. Hunter also netted a great goal. Joshua Joy, Declan Delaney and Jarrod Dussault combined on offense and put a lot of pressure on their opponents. All these kids just keep on trying.

SQUIRTS 2 GAME 1: PAT 1 Acton/Boxboro 2

PAT played Acton/Boxboro tight in this action-packed match-up. Netminder Brandon Donohoe was so hot between the pipes, he left a puddle on the ice! Defenseman Andrew Haluska went coast-to-coast for a solo score in the second period. Bailey Delaney and Sam Galeota played great defense the entire game.

GAME 2: PAT 5 Lexington/Bedford 1

PAT turned on the offense in this grudge-match against Lexington/Bedford! Sean Mullen, Miles Massida, T.J. Melanson, Jake Macmaster, and Josh Miller all came away with goals, while Sam Galeota, Justin Kauppi, and Justin Packard picked up assists. Greg Howell showed big hustle through all three periods. Coach Jamie McLeman commented after the game on how outstanding every member of the team played in both outings this weekend!

PeeWee 2 PAT 4 Lexington/Bedford 4

The Pee Wee 2 team showed great teamwork and hustle outplaying the opposition for most of the game. Strong goaltending by Lexington/Bedford kept them in the game during the first two periods. Nate Baldinelli showed some offensive prowess rushing the puck end to end to score a goal while Josh Boccia kept the opposing team pinned in there own end with tenacious play.

Players of the week: Offense - John Sweeney; Defense - Nate Baldinelli; Hustle - Josh Boccia

PeeWee 2 PAT 1 Nashua IV 5

For the second week in a row the Pee Wee 2 team showed great teamwork and hustle outplaying the opposition for most of the game. PAT had multiple scoring chances early on; only to be stopped by a strong Nashua netminder. Casey Downes delivered Pat's only score on a beautiful one man rush to the net in the first period of play. Nick Scaltreto and Conner Power played a strong game on the blueline.

Players of the Week: Offense - Casey Downes; Defense - Brandon LeBlanc; Hustle - Mike McGee
