ASHBURNHAM - Theresa K. (DiPietro) Girard, 46, of 415 Winchendon Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, in Brigham & Women's Hospital, surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on March 7, 1960, in Fitchburg, the daughter of Frank S. and Mary M. (O'Connell) DiPietro. She graduated from St. Bernard's Central Catholic High School in 1978 and from Mount Wachusett Community College. She also attended Framingham State College.

A realtor for Foster-Healey Real Estate, Inc., she received her real estate license in 1985 and her broker's license in 1988. Her commitment to buyers and sellers led to her achievement of several awards including, the Platinum Producer Award from the Northern Worcester Board of Realtors for several years, Sales Associate of the Year in 2000, and the GRI designation from the National Association of Realtors. She has been a member of the Top Producers Club for over 13 years.

Mrs. Girard was a devoted mother and wife and enjoyed watching her children play sports. She enjoyed gardening, country music, restauranting and traveling, especially to the Caribbean.

Besides her father, Frank S. DiPietro of Tucson, Ariz., and her mother, Mary M. (O'Connell) DiPietro of Lunenburg; she leaves her husband of 23 years, Randy A. Girard; her son, Michael A. Girard of Ashburnham; her daughter, Amanda K. Girard of Ashburnham; one brother, Frank J. DiPietro and his wife Kelly of Rochester, N.Y.; three sisters, Janice M. Testagrossa and her husband Gary of Lunenburg, Patricia A. DiPietro of Fitchburg, and Mary Lou DiPietro and her husband Andrew Maneval of Newton; many nieces and nephews.
