Roger F. Dube, 67
Was longtime member of St. Edward the Confessor Church

WESTMINSTER - Roger F. Dube, 67, of Westminster, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, in Deaconess Hospital, Boston, after an illness.

He was born on Jan. 23, 1939, in Fitchburg, the son of Maurice and Olida-Marie (Morin) Dube and lived in Fitchburg for many years before moving to Westminster in 1972.

He was a 1957 graduate of Notre Dame High School, Fitchburg. He then went on to attend UMass-Lowell and received his Bachelor of Science degree in business management in 1963. He also attended Assumption College and Clark University, both in Worcester, and Northeastern University in Boston.

Mr. Dube worked as a quality assurance engineer for 23 years at Simonds Saw & Steel Co. in Fitchburg, and then 14 years at TRW in Westminster, before his retirement.

He was a member of the American Society of Quality Control, and St. Vincent De Paul. He served as chairman of the Board of Health in Westminster and was the first Parish Council Chairman at St. Edward the Confessor Church in Westminster, where he was also a member since 1972.

Mr. Dube leaves his beloved wife of 40 years, Patricia "Pat" (Seeley) Dube; his beloved son and daughter, Michael R. Dube and his wife, Tuyen Vo-Dube, of Laurel, Miss., and Paula Marie DeSantis and her husband, Steven, of Milford. He also leaves his brother, Normand M. Dube, of Townville, S.C.; two granddaughters, Tracy and Tina Nguyen; and several nephews and nieces.
