The story tells how Kirsten and her family celebrate their first Christmas in America in 1854, and how Kirsten wants to keep some of their old Swedish traditions alive in the new country. Everyone will enjoy dressing up, coming for a holiday tea party, and meeting Kirsten who will tell about her Saint Lucia celebration! Other invited guests will be the children's American Girl dolls. The afternoon will conclude with a craft time in the style of 1854. Come meet "Kirsten," and spend a fascinating and fun filled afternoon on Dec. 2.
