Scholarships Available to Ashby Residents

Trustees of the Irene Salminen Scholarship Fund, administered by the Ashby High School Alumni Association, announce availability of four scholarships to Ashby residents only, for the approaching second semester.

Graduating seniors in the Class of 2006, Ashby residents who are in their second year or more of college, or other residents who are furthering their education after working for a few years, are eligible to apply. There will be three $500 scholarships available to this year's graduating class, and one $500 scholarship for another qualifying Ashby resident. The applicants must be attending college/school of higher education in Massachusetts to qualify. Interested people may obtain an application, which fully explains the requirements and procedure, from the Ashby Free Public Library or by contacting Richard Catalini at 799 Piper Road, Ashby, MA 01431.
