PAT Hockey update (Week #9) Oct. 30-Nov 5

Mite 1 (Dual State)
Game: Nov. 2
PAT 17
Hollis   0
Game: Nov. 5
PAT 4
Groton 1

PAT Dual State Mites remain undefeated. Although the Nov. 2 game against Hollis was an easy win with Richie Sharpe playing defense earning a hat trick and three assists, the Nov. 5 game against Groton wasn't so easy. First time goalie Tim Bernard saw a lot of action between the red pipes during the game. Bernard was flopping like a flounder on the ice blocking Groton's shoots, while Stephan Travis was on fire again earning another hat trick. Cam Johnson playing defense gained himself a "downtown" goal and Brian Walter got a goal with the assistance of Donnie Frederick.

Players of the Week: Offense - Stephan Travic; Defense - Richie Sharpe; Hustle - Tim Bernard (goalie)
Mite 2 (Gardner League)
    PAT 1
    Gardner 3

Our Mite 2 boys & girls played their best game of the season Nov. 5. Mckayla Briggs, Griffin Delaney and Matthew McCarthy were a force together on forward with Joey Sheridan & Ryan Archibald backing them up solidly on defense. Jake Robbins, Hunter Newsham and Joshua Joy were fantastic forwards with Jarod Dussault and Kelty Delaney providing dynamite defense for them. Declan Delaney was our swing man; he skillfully rotated through every position. Skating skills combined with outstanding effort in this tight contest. Jarrod Dussault scored an exciting goal from the top of the circle with a great wrist shot.

Squirt 1
PAT 3
Methuen 2

In the most physical game of the season PAT kept their composure and their lead and hung on to beat a very formidable Methuen team. Fantastic teamwork and stingy defense proved to be the difference in this game of wills. The offense was lead by Danny McNamara whose play to the whistle attitude proved to be the difference. Team defense and timely goal-tending was needed down the stretch to preserve the victory.

Players of the week: Offense - Danny McNamara; Defense - Tyler McLaren; Hustle - Chloe Aiken

Nashoba 0

The Pee Wee 2 team had a strong game on Nov. 4; dominating play throughout all three periods. Casey Downes scored his first hat trick of the season with Brian Hewitt getting his first shut out in net. Smart play on the blue line kept the opposition from mounting any real scoring opportunities.
