The Friends of the Ashby Free Public Library present "Photos with Santa" from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Ashby Public Library, Main Street, Ashby. Children will also enjoy doing Christmas crafts. Cost is $5 for the first photo; $2.50 for each additional picture. All proceeds to be used to benefit the library and its programs. Beat Holiday Stress with Belly Dancing at the Flying Irish Studio

De-stress before the holidays with belly dancing, a natural form of exercise that is empowering, appropriate, and fun for women of all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. The Flying Irish Studio is offering two more belly dancing workshops this year, on Saturday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Dec. 9, from 3 to 4 p.m. Beginning dancers as well as those experienced in belly dancing or other forms of dance are welcome.

Classes are taught by Cathy Moore from The Goddess Dancing. Cost is $15 per class. Students must be 14 or older. Class attire can be any athletic clothing that permits movement.
