Honor society members inducted

The Massasoit Chapter of the North Middlesex National Honor Society inducted 22 new members on Nov. 15.

These students maintain high standards of scholarship, exceptional leadership and outstanding service to the school and community. These students join the 36 current members under the guidance of Melissa McMurray.

The new members are Alan Cavanaugh, Vincent Cicchetti, J.A. Cunningham, Margaret Deleo, Stefanie Diloreto, Kelly Donovan, Christian Elwood, Jeff Fennell, Sarah Hunt, Kimberly Jaksina, Jillian Layne, Morgan Ledoux, Andrew Lonardo Roy, Justin Lonardo Roy, Jessica Lynch, Holly Newcomb, Kimberly Post, Joshua Powell, Laura Shannon, Patrick Terrio, Caitlin Wilayto and Kerry Young.

The ceremony, which was run by the current NHS officers, was held in the North Middlesex Auditorium. The keynote speaker was Superintendent of Schools Dr. Maureen Marshall. In a candle lighting ceremony, the current members shared the "light of knowledge" with their new members as they pledged to uphold the high standards of membership.
