Had a great sense of humor; was a friend to all

ASHBURNHAM - Joshua David Ferrell, 33, of Ashburnham, died at home Friday, Nov. 24, 2006, of a congenital illness.

Born April 24, 1973, in Fitchburg, he grew up in Ashburnham in the loving care of his family.

Joshua will be best remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor, his unique ability to form close bonds of friendship with people from all walks of life and how his love affected the lives of those around him. Beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.

He is survived by his father, Edson, and his mother, Theloise, of Ashburnham; his sister, Colin McLaughlin and brother in-law, Mark McLaughlin; his niece, Drew McLaughlin and his nephew, Thomas McLaughlin of Westborough; a brother, Daniel and sister-in-law Carol of Westborough; and his grandfather, Edson and his grandmother, Mary.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m. in the Ashburnham Community Church, 9 Chapel St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ARC Community Services, Dayhab Program, 564 Main St., Fitchburg, MA 01420. Funeral arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home Inc., 69 Vernon Street, Gardner.
