Was devoted nurse; loving mother and grandmother

WESTMINSTER - Mary E. (Lawless) Maclachlan, 72, of 106 Knower Road, and formerly of Newport Ritchie, Fla., died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, surrounded by her family at her son's home after an illness.

She was born in Manhattan, NY, the daughter of the late William and May (Conroy) Lawless. She was educated in New York City schools, and was also a 1984 graduate of Western Connecticut State College, with a degree in nursing.

Mrs. Maclachlan worked as a registered nurse, specializing in the dialysis care. She was a loving mother, grandmother and devoted nurse. She was also a member of the Visiting Nurse's Association.

She leaves her six children, Doug Maclachlan of Bellingham, Debbie Maclachlan of Austin, Texas, Mark Maclachlan with whom she lived, Sue Walton of Hillsborough, N.J., Donna Maclachlan of Watertown, and Dave Maclachlan of Bloomsburg, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, Ryan Maclachlan, Kelly Maclachlan, Kyle Maclachlan, Keith Maclachlan, William Linarte, Adam Linarte, James Walton, Joshua Walton, Elizabeth Linarte, and Alexandria Linarte; and one brother, James Lawless of Florida.

The Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer- Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes assisted the family.
