MADD Red Ribbons Available in Townsend

"Tie One On For Safety" has been one of Mothers Against Drunk Drivers' most successful public awareness campaigns regarding drinking and driving. MADD invites you to participate in the yearly ribbon campaign.

MADD red ribbons will be available at the Townsend Post Office and at Curves for Women the in Townsend Harbor Mall.

Founded in 1980, MADD is a non-profit organization with approximately two million members and supporters nationwide. MADD's mission is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking. MADD serves victims of drunk driving, helps save lives and works to reduce alcohol-related traffic fatalities.

Since 1986, MADD has asked motorists to Tie One on For Safety during the holiday season. This is one of the most deadly times of the year on our roads and highways. A MADD ribbon tied to a car antenna, door handle or mirror is a symbol of the motorist's pledge to drive safe and sober throughout the year, particularly during the holiday season.
