State Rep. Robert Rice (D-Gardner) visited Oakmont Regional High School’s Political Discussion Club on Nov. 29.

Rice discussed a number of controversial issues with the students, including samesex marriage, stem cell research and MCAS. He also gave the students an explanation of the Constitutional Conventions that were held recently and expressed his hope that the new governor will address issues such as financial aid to cities and towns, funding public education (including higher education), and stem cell research. He explained to the students that stem cell research would have medical and economic benefits to the state.
