Townsend Recreation offers tickets to Monster Trucks and Globetrotters

Townsend Recreation has tickets on hold to see the Monster Trucks on Saturday, Feb. 17, and the Globetrotters on Sunday, Feb. 25, at the Worcester DCU Center.

The Monster Trucks show begins at 2 p.m. Cost is $15.50 and children 12 and under are $5.50. You will be located in section 106. If you want to explore the pit area, you have to be there promptly at noon!

Mail self-addressed stamped envelope with payment made out to Town of Townsend Recreation and send to Karen Clement, 101 Main St., Townsend, MA 01469. Deadline is Monday, Jan. 8, 2007. You provide your own transportation. For more information, email Karen Clement at clem6six@verizon.net.

Townsend Recreation to offer Volleyball Program

The Townsend Recreation Volleyball Program is open to all grade 5 through 8 students from Ashby, Pepperell and Townsend and will be held at Hawthorne Brook Middle School. The first session is on Jan. 12, from 6 to 9 p.m., which determines session assignment. Dates are Jan. 19, 26, Feb. 2, 9, 16, March 2, 9, 16, 23, (30th snow date). Beginner session is 5:45 to 7 p.m.; intermediate session 7 to 8:30 p.m. See the flyers that went home with every student for additional information. Program cost is $40.
