Was longtime resident of Townsend; avid fisherman

TOWNSEND — Leo J. Senecal Jr., 61, of 4 Maple St., died Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, at his residence.

He was born in Leominster on April 4, 1945, the son of the late Leo J. Senecal Sr. and Anna R. (Spring) Champagne and had resided in Townsend since 1963.

Mr. Senecal was a self-employed carpenter.

He enjoyed boating and was an avid saltwater fisherman.

Mr. Senecal is survived by four brothers, Dennis G. Senecal of Leominster, Harry J. Senecal of Lunenburg, George A. Champagne and Eugene J. Champagne both of Townsend; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Senecal was the husband of the late Claire (Beaulac) Senecal who died in 1997. He was the stepson of the late Eugene G. J. Champagne.
