MBLC advised to hire architect, manager for library

      The Library Board of Trustees and the Library Building Committee have been told the next step is to hire a project manager and an architect to develop a feasibility study and schematic design for the expansion project. Anne Larsen, of the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, spoke with the two library boards and the Board of Selectmen on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

      The 275th Anniversary Committee and the town of Townsend is selling 1,000 minted bronze-like coin is on sale at the Town Hall. The coin, which is silver dollar sized, has an outline of the Town Hall on the face with the date of incorporation.
