Library announces scholarship program

The Ashby Free Public Library Board of Trustees are pleased to announce the Laptop Computer Volunteer Scholarship Program. The first eight lucky secondary school students, ages 13 and older, residing in the Town of Ashby who complete a commitment of 60 hours of volunteer library service by Aug. 1, are eligible to receive a refurbished laptop computer from the Ashby Free Public Library. Applications are available at the library and must be returned to the library by Feb. 1. Additional programs available for high school seniors and college student residents are courtesy of Ashby Alumni Scholarship Fund; Todd C. Wright Memorial Scholarship Fund; and Brooks, Lyman, and Marston Scholarship Funds. Regular library hours are Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesdays from 1 to 8 p.m.; Thursdays from 1 to 8 p.m.; and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
