Town meeting coverage will appear online

The Ashburnham Special Town meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 24, was held after The Community Journal went to press, but a story about the meeting has been posted online at www.thecommunityjournal. com. Full coverage will also appear in next week's print edition.

Voters were expected to take up controversial articles including how much money to appropriate to relocate the Town Hall employees and a citizens' petition to postpone the interior work on the renovation of the Town Hall.

Also on the warrant were articles to decide whether or not to create a local historic district on Meetinghouse Hill, to appropriate money for an environmental study at John R. Briggs Elementary School and to donate a parcel of land to Habitat for Humanity.
