ACT 3rd Friday celebrates Valentine's Day

Celebrate a late Valentines Day at the ACT 3rd Friday coffeehouse at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at Stevens Memorial Library, 20 Memorial Drive, with a series of open mike performers, followed by Francis Doughty as the featured performer. Doughty is an exciting finger style instrumental guitarist who has been playing music since his early teens. Inspired by the likes of Leo Kottke, John Fahey, and a wide range of classical music, he has used those influences to develop his own unique voice on the guitar, which ranges from the thrilling to the haunting. His shows present a mix of his own songs, several classic covers by Kottke, as well as arrangements of traditional or jazz pieces- and always a surprise or two
