Ashburnham Brownie Troop 672 completed their community service project by making homemade Valentines and collecting donations of goodies for the troops over seas.

The Brownie donations were sent along with a collection taken at the J.R. Briggs Extended Day Program. The troop members loved this idea because it is being sent to the mother of a fellow student, who is stationed over in Iraq.

After discussing this project with the girls and who it would be sent to, the girls found the service men and women do live by most of the Girl Scout Law and Promise. They are friendly and helpful, courageous and strong, considerate and caring… and willing to help people at all times and to make the world a better place.
