Briggs holds kindergarten registration

John R. Briggs Elementary School will hold registration for in-coming kindergarten students on April 3 to 5.

Parents need to call the school office after Monday, March 12, to make an appointment for one of these days. Parents will complete forms for registering their child for kindergarten in 2007-2008 and at the same time their child will have a hearing screening.

Orientation for in-coming kindergarten students and their parents will be held on Monday, April 30, for all families between 9 and 10:30 a.m. in the school's cafetorium. The parent meeting will allow parents to meet and learn more about the programs available at Briggs. While parents meet in the cafetorium, children will participate in activities in the classroom including a snack and go on a short bus ride. Please arrange for day-care for any siblings.

Parents of children in Ashburnham may call the Special Education Office to make a separate appointment for screening any three and four year olds that they feel may have disability.
