Incumbents nominated at Annual Town Caucus The Town Caucus provided only one contested race for the upcoming annual town elections and that is for the Library Board of Trustees. Cheryl Aidno was nominated to seek one of the two open seats on the board, as were incumbents Diane Carreiro and Peter Anderegg. The town's other incumbents were also nominated by the approximately 35 people, who attended the town caucus on Monday, Feb. 26, in the Board of Selectmen's chambers. Jonathan Dennehy was nominated to re-run for the Board of Selectmen and Interim Town Clerk Linda Ramsdell was nominated to continue in the position. Both are three-year seats. Ramsdell served as former Town Clerk Wesley Landry's assistant for more than 20 years. Also nominated to run for re-election were Glenn Hathaway and Scott Sibley for the Board of Health, John MacMillan and Thomas Ruble for the Planning Board, David Unimski as the town moderator and George Ainsleigh for the Municipal Light Department. Anyone interested in running for a town office can pick up nomination papers in the Town Clerk's Office. The nomination paper must be returned by Friday, March 9, with the signatures of 20 registered voters. The town election will be on Tuesday, April 24. |
