Karla Duprey, 55

WESTMINSTER - Karla Duprey, 55, of 153 Minott Road, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at home after an illness.

She was born in Worcester on Sept. 6, 1951, the daughter of the late Robert W. and Beryl G. (Stewart) Duprey. She received her bachelor's degree from Barnard College in 1973 and her MPA from UMass in 1981. She has been a resident of Westminster for the past 12 years.

Karla worked for the Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School Head Start Plus program as a social worker for several years, before becoming ill.

She leaves her husband Keith Leininger; one son, Ethan Leininger of Westminster; one daughter, Ananda Leininger of San Diego, Calif.; one brother, Robert Duprey of Connecticut; and one sister, Cheryl Duprey of Maine.

Funeral Services were private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Karla's name to either the Heifer Project International, 1 World Avenue, Little Rock, AR, 72202 or to the Salvation Army, 739 Water St., Fitchburg, MA, 01420.

The Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 123 Main St., Westminster, is assisting the family with arrangements.
