ASHBURNHAM - Kathrynne G. (Rivers) Hoffman, 54, of 9 Bridle Path Road, died Monday, March 19, 2007, at UMass Medical Center University Campus after an illness.

She was born in Shirley on Aug. 15, 1952, the daughter of Henry and Lorraine (Ferguson) Rivers. She moved to Ashburnham many years ago.

Mrs. Hoffman was employed for the last five years as a teller at the Ashburnham branch of the Athol Savings Bank.

She loved and raised Cocker Spaniel dogs. She was a member of the Red Hat Club.

Mrs. Hoffman leaves her husband and partner with whom she spent the last 17 years, Francis G. "Frank" Hoffman; her son and daughter-in-law, John R. and Nikki O'Neil of Unity, N.H.; her brothers, Dennis Rivers of Oceanside, Calif., Henry Rivers of Foxboro and Stanley Benoit of Shirley; her step-father, Raymond Royer of Fitchburg; her grandchildren, Christiane Frank of Fitchburg, Sabastian O'Neil and Julian O'Neil both of Unity, N.H.; several nieces and nephews. Her brother, David Rivers and her sister, Patricia Boudreau died before her.

The funeral service will be held Friday, March 23, at 10 a.m. at the Ashburnham Funeral Chapel of John A. Bosk Inc. 33R Main St. Ashburnham. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery. Winchendon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cocker Spaniel Rescue of New England P.O.
