Lillian C. (Dickenson) Davis, 87
Owned and operated first bed and breakfast in town

ASHBURNHAM - Lillian C. (Dickenson) Davis, 87, of 309 Ashby Road, died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at home with her loving family at her bedside.

She was born in Melrose on Aug. 21, 1919, the daughter of Raoul and Sarah (MacWilliams) Dickenson. She grew up in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School. She moved to Ashburnham many years ago.

Mrs. Davis was employed as an accountant at Pioneer Plastics in Greenville, N.H.

In the 1930s through to 1958, she along with her husband they owned and operated Timberlost Dairy Farm. In the 1980s, Mrs. Davis owned and operated the first bed and breakfast in Ashburnham. She loved cooking, baking, knitting and crocheting; flowers and gardening.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy L. and Gary E. LeBlanc, Candace L. and Richard H. Wright all of Ashburnham and Sandra L. and Ralph E. LeClair of Mason, N.H.; her grandchildren, Ariana M. LeBlanc, Alex P. LeBlanc and Seth D. Wright all of Ashburnham; Sarah L. Wright of Fitchburg, Matthew R. LeClair and Mark E. LeClair both of Mason, N.H.; her great-grandchildren, Arthur M. LeClair and Vernon E. LeClair both of Mason, N.H. She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil P. Davis, in 1966.

Funeral services and burial are private. Ashburnham Funeral Chapel of John A. Bosk Inc. assisted the family with arrangements.
