Oakmont graduate Wojciak named Ivy League Pitcher of the Week

New Haven, Conn - Rebecca Wojciak, of Westminster, who was 3-0 with a 1.56 earned run average, was named the Pitcher of the Week for the league's softball teams.

The Oakmont graduate is in her sophomore year at Yale University.

She earned the honor on March 20 after the team played a week of games in Kissimmee, Fla.

Wojciak pitched 18 innings, allowed four earned runs and struck out 11. Against Saint Louis, she pitched five scoreless innings, allowed only two hits and struck out five. Against Central Connecticut she pitched all eight innings and allowed three earned runs.
