Westminster resident named vice president at GFA Federal Credit Union

GFA Federal Credit Union promoted Kathryn J. White, of Westminster, to vice president of risk management.

In this newly created position, she reports to Tina M. Sbrega, president and chief operating officer of GFA Federal Credit Union.

White joined the credit union late last year as risk management officer. Prior to joining the credit union, she had 19 years of experience in the financial services industry.

"This position was created to help the credit union handle the growing complexities of compliance and regulatory requirements," said Sbrega. "Kathey has demonstrated daily her desire and ability to make positive contributions to our credit union. She has made significant improvements in the area of risk management. She has proven to be a valuable member of our senior management team and is very deserving of this promotion."

GFA Federal Credit Union was founded in 1938 in Gardner and operates offices in Gardner, Hubbardston, Winchendon and Rutland, as well as Rindge, New Hampshire.
