Christian Performing Arts Center performs 'The Tale of Three Trees'
The traditional folktale, "The Tale of Three Trees," as retold by Angela Elwell Hunt, brings the experience of Easter to the stage through storytelling and dance at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday, April 6 (Good Friday), in the Guild Hall Theatre, Christ Church, 569 Main St., Fitchburg. As three little trees stand on a hill dreaming and praying about the potential of their lives, they begin an unusual journey of what, at first, appears to be broken dreams and despair. As their lives unfold, however, God not only fulfillstheir dreams but also transforms the trees into viable life forces that become greater than their imaginations could have revealed. Each tree shares in Christ's journey on earth, experiencing the magic of His birth, the power of His leadership, the sacrifice of His death and, at last, the glory of His resurrection. Tickets are $3. For information, visit www.christianartsfitchburg. com or call (978) 345-2915. Pictured (left to right) are: Abby Capone, Alicia Adrien, Alex Potts.
